Jen Hansen, LMHC

CJen has been providing therapy services for 20+ years in a variety of clinical settings including corrections, inpatient substance use, community mental health, and private practice. She practiced in Wyoming before returning to Iowa in 2013.

CWhile working on her undergraduate degree, Jen quickly realized how important mental health is to all aspects of life. This led to her earning a BA in Psychology at Clarke College in Dubuque, IA. She then earned her Masters degree at the University of Wyoming as well as her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Jen has a passion for helping individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, life stressors/challenges/changes, PTSD, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. To address these issues Jen utilizes a variety of treatment modalities including client-centered, CBT, solution focused, and motivational interviewing. Jen believes clients know themselves best and with guidance can help themselves heal and live life to the fullest.
