I believe the answers we seek often already exist within us. Yet our experiences, relationships, and the ways we've learned to navigate the world can make it difficult to hear ourselves clearly. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, deepen self-understanding, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that may have been overlooked or lost along the way.

I'm Whitney, a Licensed Master Social Worker, and I work with adolescents ages 13 and older, college students, and adults from diverse backgrounds. Many of the people I work with are accustomed to being the ones others rely on, continuing to meet expectations even when they feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Others come to therapy hoping to better understand their emotions, relationships, or patterns that seem difficult to change. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are, without pressure to perform or have everything figured out.

I support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, perfectionism, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, self-worth, and relationship challenges. I have a particular interest in supporting BIPOC individuals exploring identity, motherhood, cultural expectations, and the experience of navigating environments where they may not always feel seen or understood. I also enjoy working with men as they explore emotional expression, relationships, vulnerability, and expectations surrounding strength and self-reliance.

Working with adolescents is another meaningful part of my practice. Young people are often labeled as difficult, defiant, or unmotivated without consideration of what may be happening beneath the surface. I believe behavior often communicates what someone has not yet found the words to express. My goal is to help adolescents better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and develop confidence as they navigate the challenges of growing up

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity rather than judgment. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and an understanding of the nervous system, I help clients explore how their experiences shape their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and responses to stress. Together, we identify patterns that may no longer serve them, develop practical tools, and create opportunities for meaningful change.

I don't believe healing means fixing who you are or becoming someone entirely different. It's about understanding yourself with greater compassion, recognizing the strengths you already possess, and creating space for a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

You don't need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We can start wherever you are. I look forward to connecting with you.
